"UK Goth Metallers Come Up Trumps On Cracking Debut"
Goth music may have a reputation for being drearier than a wet weekend away with your grandparents, but there's always been a side of it that overflows with rich, vital musical colour capable of summoning more than just dull mopery. Season's End are firmly on this side, weaving a beautiful sonic tapestry with their slow, female-fronted gothic metal, with each lengthy track going at it's own pace for as long as it needs to. Never rushed, 'The Failing Light' is a truly awesome record.
Best tracks: 'Touch', 'Innocence'.
